The pace of development surrounding artificial intelligence has been quite fast, from the introduction of ChatGPT in 2022 to the spread of AI applications in pretty much every touch point we have on the Internet, and then some. Inevitably there has been a lot of talk about how disruptive AI can be – from certain jobs, and perhaps entire industries, being wiped out; to negative impacts on the environment, geopolitical stability and public discourse. Thus, anyone who’s keen to explore AI finds themselves forced to pick a side, one where AI is the unavoidable future, or one where AI must be left behind and foregone at all costs.
