SCMAP’s next General Membership Meeting is set for 20 June, from 1pm to 5pm, at the EDSA Shangri-la Manila in Mandaluyong City – and on the agenda are new and upcoming transport regulations impacting on Philippine supply chain.
From recent pronouncements made by the Bureau of Customs to the proposed Joint Administrative Order led by the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Transportation and Department of Finance, these regulations have sought to address issues such as port congestion and empty container returns, particularly as our supply chain networks gain further scrutiny amidst economic growth.
Confirmed to speak at the event are Dr. Henry Basilio, assistant professor at the UP National College of Public Administration and Governance and the head of USAID-RESPOND, and Marilyn Alberto, president of the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association. We have also invited representatives from various government agencies, details of which will be revealed in the coming days.
Attendance to the event is free for one representative per SCMAP member company, with additional pre-registered member delegates to be charged PHP 1,200 per head. Non-members can take part at PHP 1,500 per head. Members with overdue charges can not avail of the free slot or member rate.
