One of SCMAP’s flagship events, the annual Supply Chain Immersion, returned to Bacolod City via MV 2GO Maligaya last 20-22 May, providing delegates with an immersive view on how collaboration can unlock the full potentials of our supply chains.

The event, which saw over 40 participants from various industries take part, featured talks en route to Bacolod as well as in the city itself, plus a tour of the facilities of Nestlé Philippines in the city, and several fellowship opportunities across the three days.

Speaking on board MV 2GO Maligaya were SCMAP directors Jose Marvin Casipe of San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation, Michael Marquez of Unilab and Nikko Puzon of Procter & Gamble Philippines, as well as former SCMAP director John Wayne Maravilla. Also speaking in Bacolod were SCMAP president Dennis Llovido of Nestlé Philippines, former SCMAP Visayas president Gilbert Cabataña of Maersk Omnichannel Fulfillment, and AJ de Guzman of Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines.

The tour focused not just on the use of new warehousing technologies, but also how Nestlé, Coca-Cola and Maersk’s collaboration in the region allowed all stakeholders to maximize existing resources and add more value across their respective supply chains.

There was also, as in previous years, a tour of our host vessel, enabled by our travel partners, 2GO Travel. There were also fellowship dinners on board and in Bacolod City, allowing our delegates to experience hospitality as can only be provided by the City of Smiles.

Previous editions of our Supply Chain Immersion event, held annually every summer, were conducted in Puerto Princesa, Cebu and Iloilo.
