The Department of Trade and Industry, the Philippine Retailers Association and the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines are coming together for the 1st Wholesale and Retail Trade Forum, happening on 11 November 2024 at the AIM Conference Center in Makati City.
This event is a continuation of the Section G initiative, a unique collaboration between the three organizations aiming to boost job creation across the wholesale and retail sectors, as well as other sectors connected to it, including the manufacturing and logistics sectors.
The initiative formally kicked off with a series of focus group discussions held last 8-9 October at the University of the Philippines BGC campus in Taguig City, which gathered inputs from stakeholders. The upcoming forum will build upon these insights and continue the conversation in topics such as workforce development and policy and regulatory reform.
