SCMAP conducted its third Supply Chain Leaders’ Lunch, an invitation-only gathering of top-level supply chain stakeholders, last 4 September at the EDSA Shangri-la Manila in Mandaluyong City.

The event, which officially kicked off the 2024 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, saw representatives from major manufacturers, retailers and logistics providers, as well as key government agencies and industry associations. It provided a venue to discuss major challenges and opportunities posed to the industry, with a particular focus this year on geopolitical risks and challenges facing global supply chains. The event’s output would help SCMAP in its further engagement with its members and the sector at large.

Among those in attendance were Department of Trade and Industry undersecretary Mary Jean Pacheco and REID Foundation’s Ronilo Balbieran, as well as past SCMAP president Nestor Felicio, who led the panel discussion, and representatives from the country’s major manufacturers and industry associations.
