The latest issue of SCMAP’s official magazine, Supply Chain Philippines, looks at the role supply chain plays in ensuring a steady supply of food for Filipinos – and, also, in building competitive food businesses and sectors, particularly in agriculture.

This issue’s cover story takes off from the Philippine government’s newfound thrust to ensure food security and self-sufficiency across the country, particularly through the launching of the three-year Food Logistics Agenda that seeks to revolutionize the movement of food and food products. But addressing these concerns would also impact the competitiveness of different businesses and enterprises – from the growing restaurant and hospitality sector, to the agriculture sector as a whole, one that has long been a challenge for the country’s government. We look at the landscape and deliver some thoughts about how we can approach this issue.

This issue also looks at the revised Philippine E-Commerce Roadmap, the changing face of logistics facilities, the growing potential for the country’s cold chain sector, and updates from the last six months of SCMAP events and initiatives.
