Department of Transportation undersecretary Elmer Sarmiento will be speaking at this year’s Supply Chain Outlook, happening in-person on 3 March 2023 at the EDSA Shangri-la Manila in Mandaluyong City.
Sarmiento is undersecretary for the maritime sector, with oversight into the country’s sea transport networks, as well as attached agencies including the Philippine Ports Authority, Maritime Industry Authority and the Philippine Coast Guard. He previously served as president and chief executive officer of Royal Cargo Inc.
Sarmiento joins REID Foundation’s Ronilo Balbieran in speaking at the event, which will be held between 2:30pm and 7pm on 3 March. The event will look ahead at the issues that impact Philippine supply chain, and will also feature the induction of SCMAP’s Board of Directors for 2023.
