The Hong Kong Trade Development Council and InvestHK, in cooperation with the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines, will hold a physical event looking at how the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership – a free trade agreement covering all ten ASEAN countries as well as five of its major trading partners – will provide opportunities for supply chain and logistics players in the Philippines.

The event, Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong: What It Means for Philippines Logistics Companies will be held on 15 July, from 10:30am to 1:30pm, at the Discovery Primea in Makati City. The event will see business leaders from across the region share insights and market trends, particularly the opportunities RCEP presents in improving trade, strengthening supply chain and expand access to markets.

Confirmed to speak at the event are Law Kin Wai, director-general of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Jakarta; David Sit, assistant principal economist of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; Donald Morris, Philippines country manager of Cathay Pacific; and Pierre Carlo Curay, president of SCMAP. More speakers are expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
