SCMAP is joining forces with UPPAF Regulatory Reform Support Program for National Development (UPPAF-RESPOND) for a series of events looking at how businesses deployed best practices and innovations to deal with the challenges and disruptions caused by the pandemic.
The first of these Innovation Spotlight events, part of the SCMAP Live banner, will be held on 9 December. We will explore an example of how the beverages industry dealt with shifting consumer behaviors as lockdowns meant restriction on movement and, in some cases, bans on liquor and other alcoholic beverages.
Joining us is Jonathan Nisperos of Wine Brothers Philippines, the company behind Woomera Wine. Launched late in 2019, it found itself launching a brand at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced it to explore new retail channels and adapt to a shift from mass gatherings to more intimate at-home affairs.
Dr. Hussein Lidasan of the UP School of Urban and Regional Planning will provide the reaction; Dr. Henry Basilio of UPPAF-RESPOND will present on supply chain competitiveness initiatives; and Dr. Gilbert Llanto of UPPAF-RESPOND will moderate the open forum.
The event will be held live on 9 December, from 10am to 11:30am, via Zoom.
