SCMAP wrapped up this year’s edition of the SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, dubbed SCC21 Live, after two weeks of panels and talks from the sector’s leading movers, stakeholders and professionals.

The event, held between 5-14 October, saw over 340 delegates from across the manufacturing, retail, logistics services, logistics products and other allied sectors. Apart from the sessions, they partook in networking opportunities, such as a virtual exhibit and speed networking events.

The event kicked off on 5 October with the session Shaping Supply Chain’s Next Big Story, featuring addresses from Department of Transportation secretary Arthur Tugade and Fast Logistics Group chief executive officer William Chiongbian II. Also presenting their reactions were former SCMAP presidents Christine Pardiñas and Nestor Felicio.

The second session, Building Resilient and Reliable Supply Chains last 7 October, featured insights on how supply chain stakeholders can ensure consistent levels of service despite ongoing and future logistical bottlenecks. The panel featured Maersk Philippines’ John Largo, Universal Robina Corporation’s Joannie Festejo and YCP Solidiance’s Anna Rellama.

The third session, Catering to Evolving Customer Demands last 12 October, saw a discussion of the changing nature of order fulfillment as customers welcome new and changing forms of retail. The panel featured NielsenIQ’s Patrick Cua, Alaska Milk Corporation’s Ella Gonzales-Batingan and GrowSari’s ER Rollan.

The final session, Embracing Sustainability Across the Supply Chain last 14 October, explored the long-term impact of our supply chains on our environment and the efforts being made to reduce and reverse these effects. The panel featured Philippine Alliance for Recycling and Material Sustainability’s Crispian Lao, Nestlé Philippines’ Anderson Martins and Personal Collection Direct Selling’s Rolando Lazo.
