The recently-released guidelines enabling the government’s Common Tower Policy – touted as a way to improve the competitiveness of the nation’s ICT infrastructure and connectivity – will be tackled in the next SCAn Networks Hub E-Forum, scheduled for 3 August, from 3pm to 5pm, via Zoom.
Last June, the Department of Information and Communication Technology issued its guidelines on Shared Passive Telecommunications Tower Infrastructure (Shared PTTI), commonly known as the Common Tower Policy. The scheme encourages the development of independent tower companies who will provide infrastructure for telecommunication providers, hastening the spread of such towers particularly in underserved areas.
The discussion will focus in particular on the issuance of permits, license and certificates allowing for the adoption of said policy. Speaking at the event is Atty. Jeremiah Belgica, the director general of the Anti-Red Tape Authority. Presenting the reaction from the private sector is SCMAP president-elect Pierre Carlo Curay.
Registration to the event is for free. Click here to take part. You can also watch a live stream of the event through UPPAF-RESPOND’s Facebook page.
The SCAn Networks Hub E-Forum is an event jointly supported by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Export Development Council, Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines, Philippine Exporters Confederation, Transportation Science Society of the Philippines and UPPAF-RESPOND.
