Three more speakers have been confirmed to take part in the 2019 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, the most prestigious event in Philippine supply chain, set to happen on 19-20 September at the EDSA Shangri-la Manila.
Atty. Amor Venenoso and Abraham Quintos will be leading the conference’s session on data privacy, Move: Data Privacy and Security in the Supply Chain, scheduled for the afternoon of 20 September.
Venenoso represents the National Privacy Commission, established in 2016 to enforce the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and to advocate for data protection and privacy to consumers, businesses and government. She previously worked for SGV and Araneta and Faustino Law, as well as the city government of Cabuyao.
Quintos is data privacy manager for Globe Telecom, overseeing the telecom company’s efforts to protect the data of its customers. He previously worked for Aon and UCPB General Insurance.
There are also some changes on the conference’s third session, Engage: Enabling Better Service Through Cold Chain Logistics, scheduled for the morning of 20 September. With the retirement of Lourdes Guzman as president of Orca Cold Chain, the company’s operations and automation consultant, Harvinder Grewal, will now be speaking in the panel. He is also head of logistics technology for Grocery Logistics of Singapore, a fully-owned subsidiary of Singaporean grocery chain NTUC Fairprice.
Guzman, a supply chain veteran who is also vice president for education and scholarship of the Society of Fellows in Supply Management, will now be speaking on the conference’s fourth session, Engage: Supply Chain and the Bigger Picture, also on 20 September. She joins previously announced speakers, Villa Socorro Farm’s Marcial Aaron and VitaSoy-URC’s Maria Sarah Albert.
