SCMAP has partnered with PricewaterhouseCoopers for a survey that will assess the state of Philippine supply chain compared to other countries, and help the organization better understand the challenges and opportunities facing the sector as it continues its engagement with stakeholders in the public and private sectors.

The survey, which was formally unveiled during the General Membership Meeting last 20 June, will be sent to SCMAP members across the country from today. It focuses on current warehousing requirements, growth estimates and other supply chain metrics.

This survey is one of many plans between the two organizations that will seek to better understand the issues facing supply chain in the country, and lead to other research initiatives such as cost benchmarking and network mapping. The partnership comes at a time when interest in supply chain knowledge is high, as various data-gathering initiatives from the public and private sectors get underway.

The initial results of the survey will be discussed at the 2019 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, which will be held on 19-20 September at the EDSA Shangri-la Manila in Mandaluyong City. Full results will then be discussed during the General Membership Meeting set for 21 November.
