Ferdinand Nague of the Chamber of Customs Brokers of the Philippines, who tackled detention and demurrage costs; Roger Torres of the Container Depot Alliance of the Philippines, who looked at capacity issues for empty containers; Marilyn Alberto of the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association, who presented on the impact of local shipping charges on total logistics cost; Ronnie Yambao of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, who discussed plans to further expand capacity at Subic’s ports; and the Export Development Council’s Dr. Henry Basilio, who presented important points on the proposed JAO.
The talks were followed by a lively open forum, involving the over 90 delegates from locators across the Subic/Clark corridor, as well as representatives from Manila-based companies.
