First details for this year’s SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, the most prestigious event in Philippine supply chain, has been confirmed.

This year’s conference will be held on 2-3 October 2018 at the EDSA Shangri-la Manila, the conference’s home for over two decades. Once again, the event is expected to gather top players and thought leaders in supply chain, business and government, discussing the issues that affect supply chain’s role in connecting, engaging and moving lives.

Building on last year’s conference, this year’s gathering will also tap on the work of SCMAP’s collaboration groups, established at the beginning of the year to tackle pain points experienced by the organization’s membership and the supply chain sector at large. As always, it will be accompanied by an exhibit which will bring together top logistics service and product providers not just in the Philippines but across the region as well.

Last year’s conference was the most successful yet, seeing roughly 350 delegates, 32 sponsors and over 1,000 exhibit visitors across the two days. The event’s speakers – led by Peter Wallace, DTI undersecretary Ruth Castelo and DPWH undersecretary Ma. Catalina Cabral – tackled issues such as customer satisfaction, talent development and international linkages. It also introduced a more interactive format, with panels and a greater emphasis on Q&As enabling more robust discussions between speakers and delegates.

In the coming weeks SCMAP will reveal information on new sponsorship packages, and an early peek at the conference’s agenda.
