The 2018 Supply Chain Immersion is now set for on 17-19 May 2018, and will be held in Clark and Subic, nerve centers of the emerging business and logistics hub in Central Luzon.

The two freeports have, across the years, emerged as an attractive destination both for businesses and tourists. After the American military departed the two former military bases, various stakeholders in government and the private sector transformed Clark and Subic into bustling hubs for manufacturers, logistics and hospitality. In recent years the development of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) has bolstered the region’s connectivity with the rest of Luzon, while the Clark International Airport has seen growth in passenger and cargo numbers.

With the Duterte administration’s infrastructure program in full swing, Clark and Subic are at the center to establish a new alternative to congested Metro Manila, with projects such as the New Clark City and the expansion of connectivity points via sea, land and air.

This year’s Supply Chain Immersion will focus on supply chain optimization, and will center on tours of important locators and facilities in both Clark and Subic. Part of this event is a half-day Supply Chain Perspective event, where local supply chain practitioners and business leaders present how their companies have maximized the opportunities presented by the region, and positioned their companies better not just within the Philippines but in global value chains.

Previous destinations include Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and last year, Iloilo.

More details will be revealed in the coming weeks, including sponsorship and registration information.
