SCMAP’s final General Membership Meeting for 2017 tapped into the expertise and knowledge of its members through a new town hall format, discussing opportunities and challenges in the supply chain profession heading into the new year.

The GMM was held at the Discovery Suites Manila in Pasig City.

The panel, led by SCMAP executive director Norman Adriano, looked at the impact of new technologies on supply chain and how it enables more demands on shippers and sellers. These include the rise of analytics, the evolution of the e-commerce offer, and the emergence of cashless payment options. The format allowed for delegates and members of SCMAP’s board to discuss these challenges in a relaxed, informal setting.

Two new members were also inducted into SCMAP during the GMM: Producer Connection Logistics, represented by Flor Santos, and Samsung SDS Global SCL Philippines, represented by Reynaldo Quintero.

The event also saw the announcement of winners to the elections for the 2018 SCMAP Board of Directors.

Next on the calendar is the SCMAP Christmas fellowship, which is also designated as a General Membership Meeting. It will be held on 1 December, from 6pm, at the Makati Sports Club in Makati City.

We would like to thank Infolog and Agility Logistics for sponsoring this event.
