SCMAP’s fourth General Membership Meeting for 2017 will point the spotlight on new tech-based logistics solutions that are poised to impact the way supply chain and transport managers handle their processes and networks.
Confirmed to speak at the event are Paulo Bengson, co-country director and head of operations for Transportify Philippines, and Johanne Lim, vice president for product management at OpenPort.
Transportify is a service similar to Uber, allowing a user to book a vehicle that would deliver your products through an application on your smartphone. On the other hand, OpenPort is a platform allowing shippers and carriers to reduce cost, increase transparency and enhance performance.
The GMM will feature talks from the two, as well as an open forum where the impact of such solutions is expected to be discussed.
The GMM will be held on 17 August, 1pm to 5pm, at the Titanium Room of the F1 Hotel Manila, 32nd Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Entry is free for one representative of SCMAP member companies; a PHP 900 fee will be levied on additional representatives of SCMAP members, and PHP 1,000 for non-members, payable at the venue. Pre-registration is required; click here to book your seats.
