You can now watch the full video of this year’s Supply Chain Outlook Live, the annual event – held online this year, due to the pandemic – looking ahead at the issues that will most impact the Philippine supply chain sector in the coming year.
With the country still looking to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic – and, as the event was held, is seeing a spike in cases – we asked policy makers and industry leaders to assess where we are and which path we are going.
The event, held last 22 March, was led by Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, who once again graced our events by discussing new measures aimed at combating the new spike in COVID-19 cases, as well as the government’s vaccination program. REID Foundation’s Ronilo Balbieran also returned to present his outlook on the economy, arguing that our sound fundamentals should allow us to weather out the worst of the pandemic’s effects. Finally, Cold Chain Association of the Philippines president Anthony Dizon presented his frank assessment of efforts to successfully distribute COVID-19 vaccines across the country, and to ensure food security.
The event also saw the induction of SCMAP’s Board of Directors for 2021, led by president Pierre Carlo Curay, who presented the organization’s plans and activities for the coming year.
SCMAP has more online events in the works in the coming months, including editions of SCMAP Live, our regular online event series.
Supply Chain Outlook Live was sponsored by J&T Express Philippines, and also supported by Del Monte Philippines and Nestlé Philippines.
