Department of Trade and Industry secretary Ramon Lopez is among the new speakers announced as part of #SCC20 Live, the most prestigious event in Philippine supply chain, reimagined for these extraordinary times.

Under his watch as DTI secretary, Lopez oversees efforts to strengthen the logistics services sector, and has advocated for closer collaboration between the public and private sectors. He is also a leading advocate for MSMEs and entrepreneurship education, and also has extensive experience in the private sector. He will speak on the conference’s third session, Reconnect: Keeping Our Sights On What’s Important, scheduled on 22 October.

Also joining the speaker line-up are Joost Driessen of Vuealta and Allen Xavier of Anaplan, representing #SCC20 Live’s conference partners. Driessen is partner at consulting firm Vuealta since 2016, after working for global firm Accenture and Dutch research organization TNO. Xavier, meanwhile, is country president of computer company Anaplan in the Philippines, and has worked for the likes of Oracle and SAP.

Finally, Cliff Eala returns to #SCC20 Live as speaker, after speaking at last year’s SCMAP Supply Chain Conference and becoming a familiar face as one of the event’s hosts throughout the years. He founded Synerbyte, a technology firm engaged in transport optimization and energy efficiency, and is also a well-regarded author, consultant and start-up coach.

Driessen, Eala and Xavier are joining next week’s session, Rethink: Improving Our Supply Chain Processes, happening on 15 October. They join previously announced speakers Elisha Camus of Kuehne+Nagel and German Martizano of In1Go Technologies.

Registration for #SCC20 Live is still open. The event is free for SCMAP members and at PHP 500 per session for non-members. Registrants can also choose to watch the recently-concluded session Restart: Understanding Our New Realities on demand upon registration. Click here to register.

#SCC20 Live is this year’s edition of the SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, the most prestigious event in Philippine supply chain. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the associated restrictions on physical gatherings, the event has been reimagined into three online events which will continue to explore supply chain’s greater role in connecting, engaging and moving lives, particularly during these extraordinary times. More speakers will be announced in the coming days.

This event is presented in partnership with Vuealta and Anaplan, with session sponsors F2 Logistics, Fast Logistics and LF Logistics.
