Overview

Optimizing your transport cost plays an important role in keeping your supply chains competitive and, ultimately, your products and services appealing to your customers. This means picking the appropriate mode of transport, keeping an eye on your costs and ensuring your products are delivered to where your customers are at the best condition. As disruptions and complexities shape our transport landscape, strategies and options must be assessed to make sure that we can deliver and provide value to our customers, partners and shareholders.

In this workshop, we will explore the factors that determine your transport cost; the challenges facing transport today; and strategies and methods that can help you plan and optimize your transportation network. Through lectures, case studies and presentations, this workshop should enable participants to understand transport planning and management and to device and apply workable strategies to lower costs and improve service levels.
