SCMAP expresses support for International Maritime Trade Competitiveness Act

SCMAP joins other industry groups in supporting the proposed House Bill 4933, theĀ International Maritime Trade Competitiveness Act, being deliberated on in the House of Representatives. As stated in a previous position paper submitted to the House Committee on Transportation in 2021, alongside the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Export Development Council, and Philippine Exporters Confederation, the proposed law would provide safeguards in ensuring reasonable and competitive logistics costs, and allow businesses and stakeholders to be more competitive.
