The Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority have extended their partnership in developing technical-vocational training programs catering to the supply chain industry as the former was named as the NCR TVET Industry Board for supply chain and logistics.
The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement held yesterday at the TESDA headquarters in Taguig. Representing SCMAP were executive director Corazon Curay and program director Ana Rose Ochoa; TESDA was represented by NCR regional director Engr. Jovencio Ferrer Jr.
The MOA allows SCMAP to better assist TESDA in identifying industry needs and entice private sector participation in TESDA’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programs.
SCMAP has previously helped the agency in developing National Certification programs catering to warehouse personnel.
This development signifies SCMAP’s continued commitment to promoting supply chain education at all levels, from management to frontliners. This comes off the back of the recent announcement of the fourth run of the Certificate Course on Enterprise Supply Chain Management, co-developed with the De La Salle University.
