SCMAP Visayas hosted an industry forum last 26 February, bringing together the region’s key supply chain stakeholders in a discussion of their response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and looking ahead at the next year for the sector and the region.
The event, which was held online through Zoom, began with a forum attended by Big Blue Logistics’ Stephen Castillo, Cebu Truckers Association’s Gabriel Cruz, Gothong Southern Group’s Bob Gothong, and the Cebu Port Authority’s Leonilo Miole.
Also joining the discussion, which was moderated by former SCMAP Visayas president Gilbert Cabataña, were new chapter president Capt. Rodien Paca and SCMAP national president Pierre Carlo Curay.
The second half of the event saw the induction of the chapter’s new Board of Directors, as well as short addresses by Curay and Paca on future plans by the organization.
Rounding out the board is Treasure Island’s Glenn Manguilimotan, vice president; Northpoint’s Mae Masnayon, secretary; Boeing Material Handling’s Arnold Jumalon, treasurer; Transfluent Management’s Roberto Cabaero, auditor; LF Philippines’ Gilbert Cabataña, public relations officer; and ABM Global Solutions’ Alfie Amontos, Gan Networks Inc.’s Allan Salmero and Fast Logistics’ Pablito Evangelista Jr., directors.
