SCMAP Visayas has named its new Board of Directors for 2021, led by new president Dr. Rodien Paca.
Paca, who last served as vice president and president-elect of the chapter, represents Naga Port Shipping Marine Service. Assisting him as vice president is Glenn Manguilimotan of Treasure Island Industrial Corporation.
Mae Masnayon of Northpoint Inc. was named secretary secretary; Arnold Jumalon of Boeing Material Handling Corporation, treasurer; Roberto Cabaero of Transfluent Management, auditor; and Gilbert CabataƱa of LF Philippines, public relations officer.
Rounding off the directors are ABM Global Solutions’ Alfie Amontos, Gan Networks Inc.’s Allan Salmero, Peer Cargo Movers’ Marivic Esmero and Fast Logistics’ Pablito Evangelista Jr.
In interviews with Cebu-based press, Paca plans to increase consultations with local stakeholders and up virtual training offerings, to help the region’s logistics sector cope with the continuing impacts of COVID-19.
The new board’s term officially began on 1 January and will run until the end of the year, except for Paca’s, who will serve as president for two years as per the organization’s by-laws.
