The fifth SCAn Networks Hub E-Forum is slated for 21 July 2020, from 3pm to 5pm, and will focus on the Telecommuting Act.
The law, passed in 2018, delineates the responsibilities of employers in providing alternative working arrangements for its staff. It has taken additional urgency in light of the COVID-19 crisis, which further compelled businesses to allow its employees to work from home, to stem the spread of the disease.
Leading the panelists for this online event is Atty. Leandro Angelo Aguilar, deputy commissioner of the National Privacy Commission. Queenie Therese Espinas of the Department of Labor and Employment, Dr. Sergio Ortiz-Luiz Jr. of the Employers’ Confederation of the Philippines and Atty. Anthony Abad of Abad Alcantara and Associates will also be speaking.
Dr. Henry Basilio of UPPAF-RESPOND will provide the closing remarks, while Abad Alcantara and Associates’ Atty. Kristine Alcantara will be moderating the event.
