SCMAP supports In Style Hong Kong 2020, an event and promotion campaign organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, aiming to promote the city as a business platform for ASEAN businesses to go global.
This year, ISHK will be held in the Philippines, through a two-day trade expo on 5-6 March at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, as well as a day-long symposium to be held on 5 March at the same venue. There will also be a citywide promotion where Hong Kong brands and Hong Kong-style restaurants provide discounts and other offers to patrons.
The symposium, with the theme Hong Kong-Philippines: Partnering for Prosperity, will put the spotlight on the opportunities presented by the emergence of new technologies, as well as how Hong Kong’s business environment can provide a boost to Philippine companies looking to expand beyond its borders. Among the topics to be tackled cross-border logistics, intellectual property, and the rise of the smart city.
SCMAP president-elect Pierre Carlo Curay will be moderating the panel on cross-border logistics, which will be held in the morning of 5 March.
The B2B trade show will feature 140 Hong Kong companies showcasing a wide array of products, from fashion, food, jewelry, gadgets and toys. Business matching and product demonstrations will be held during the expo.
The event is expected to attract over 2,000 delegates from the top levels of conglomerates, retailers and SMEs across both days.
Registration to both the symposium and the trade show is free, subject to limited slots. To register, click here, and to learn more, visit the event’s website at www.instyle-hk.com.
