Cong. Bernadette Herrera-Dy has been named one of the keynote speakers for the 2019 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, happening on 19-20 September 2019.
Herrera-Dy, who currently serves as Deputy Majority Floor Leader of the 18th Congress, was elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 as part of the Bagong Henerasyon party list. She previously served as a councilor for the First District of Quezon City, a position she held from 2001 until 2010; she was the youngest to be elected in the position in the city.
In her capacity in Congress she is involved in legislation on corporate income tax reform, shipping charges and amendments to the Public Service Act.
Also joining the conference is Mary Grace Mandigma, head of the technical services division of the Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards of the Department of Agriculture. In this capacity she led the implementation of the DA’s Good Agricultural Practices and Good Animal Husbandry Practices programs. She joins the third panel, Engage: Enabling Better Service Through Cold Chain Logistics, alongside previously announced speakers Harvinder Grewal and Rolly Melendrez.
Finally, returning to the conference this year is David Wong, marketing manager of the Singapore branch of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. He joins the conference’s first panel, Connect: Building Capacity and Capability in Supply Chain, alongside previously announced speakers Daniel Ventanilla and Sean Zantua.
Herrera and Wong joins a roster of speakers representing different stakeholders in Philippine supply chain, tackling issues such as cold chain logistics, data privacy and operational excellence.
