The fourth edition of Sharpening the Supply Chain Practitioners, the flagship event of SCMAP Visayas, was held last 23 August at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City.
Attended by over 75 delegates from 27 companies, the event saw a diverse mix of topics from key stakeholders across the supply chain, providing attendees with a one-stop shop of knowledge and insight.
SAP’s Kenneth dela Cerna kicked off the event with a look at how IT solutions can impact supply chain operations not just of big business but also of small players. P&A Grant Thornton’s Third Librea then discussed the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and its implication on supply chain operators, particularly those directly dealing with customers.
Northpoint’s Rochelle Gonzaga took a look at the measures food supply chain operators take to ensure food safety and security. Finally, Lalamove’s Geekel Goden demonstrated how expanded transport options has provided more freedom to small businesses and supply chain professionals alike.
