The first six speakers for the 2019 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, to be held on 19-20 September at the EDSA Shangri-la Manila in Mandaluyong City, bring together key stakeholders across the supply chain in a continuing exploration of the profession’s role in connecting, engaging and moving lives.

Joining as speakers as Marcial Aaron of Villa Socorro Agri-Eco Village and Farm Resort; Maria Sarah Albert of Vitasoy-URC; Jonathan Baldo of the Lighthouse Leadership Institute; Santi Gutierrez of LF Philippines; Daniel Ventanilla of the Transnational Diversified Group; and Sean Zantua of Johnson & Johnson.

Ventanilla and Zantua will take part in the conference’s first panel,Connect: Building Supply Chain Capacity and Capability, while will be held after lunch on 19 September. Ventanilla, currently the head of the logistics division of the Transnational Diversified Group, comes with decades of experience in the logistics industry. Zantua, who heads human resources for Johnson & Johnson Philippines, will present a discussion on talent needs in the supply chain sector.

Gutierrez will take part in the second panel, Connect: Ensuring Operational Excellence in the Supply Chain, happening in the afternoon of 19 September. He is currently country head for LF Logistics in the Philippines.

Aaron and Albert are joining the panel Engage: Supply Chain and the Bigger Picture, happening on the morning of 20 September. Aaron, a former head of Unilever-Best Foods, is currently working as a full-time farmer at Villa Socorro Farm in Laguna. Albert, general manager of VitaSoy-URC, has decades of experience in sales and marketing positions for companies such as Coca-Cola and Unilever.

Finally, Baldo – who is director of the Lighthouse Leadership Institute – will help us wrap up the year’s conference as he headlines the closing session on 20 September.

More speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Registration is now open for this year’s SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, with two-day passes at PHP 13,800 for SCMAP members and PHP 16,800 for non-members. Those who register and pay on or before 2 August can avail of an early bird rate. Similarly, those who register ten delegates on or before 2 August will get an eleventh pass for free.
