SCMAP is once again a supporting media partner of the Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference, happening on 20-21 November 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Jointly organized by the government of Hong Kong SAR and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the ALMC brings together players across the supply chain, from manufacturers and distributors to retailers and brand owners, as they discuss trends and opportunities facing shipping, logistics and maritime in Asia.

This year’s plenary sessions will tackle strengthening connectivity in Asia, in light of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the recently signed free trade agreement between Hong Kong and the ASEAN; as well as the continuing impact of online commerce on supply chain, particularly as retailers begin dipping their feet into the logistics arena. Other sessions will also tackle trends in cold chain, air freight and maritime, as well as emerging logistics technologies.

Leading the roster of speakers is Dato Lim Jock Hoi, secretary general of the Association of South East Asian Nations.

The ALMC also houses an exhibit featuring key supply chain players from across the region, including exhibitors from the Philippines, as well as one-on-one business matching meetings.

Last year’s conference saw over 70 speakers, 120 exhibitors and roughly 2,100 delegates from 36 countries.

SCMAP and its official magazine Supply Chain Philippines will be a media partner at the event, with a presence at the ALMC’s Intelligence Lounge, bringing together top supply chain publications across the region. Representatives from SCMAP members can also avail of an exclusive discount code to register as a delegate to the ALMC. For inquiries, you may contact Henrik Batallones through this link.
