We can now confirm four more speakers are taking part in the 2018 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference, happening on 2-3 October 2018 at the EDSA Shangri-la Manila in Mandaluyong City.

The speakers are set to present a varied picture of the different challenges and opportunities facing supply chain – and its role in connecting, engaging and moving lives.

Returning to the event is Enrique Castillo, former SCMAP president and current head of the Victory Group of Companies. His decades of experience in supply chain has seen him work for the likes of Del Monte, James Hardie, Avon, Nestlé and, most recently, as president of Fast Logistics, before assuming his current role in 2017. He will be speaking at the second session of the conference, Connect: Empowering Supply Chain Leaders, scheduled on the afternoon of 2 October.

Also joining the conference is Dr. Erika Fille Legara, assistant professor at the Asian Institute of Management. A graduate of the University of the Philippines, she later joined the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore, where she took part in data-driven research on urban planning and supply chain, among others. Last year she returned to Manila to help AIM start its Master of Science in Data Science program, for which she is academic program director. She will be speaking at the final session of the conference, Move: Making Sense of the Present and Future, scheduled on the afternoon of 3 October.

Providing his wealth of experience in various sectors and industries is Danilo Mojica II. Currently president and chief executive officer of management consultancy Tailwind Digital Solutions, he previously led the consumer wireless division of Smart Communications, and also was chief operating officer of Cebu Pacific. He will be speaking at the fourth session of the conference, Engage: Understanding Supply Chain’s Purpose, scheduled on the morning of 3 October.

The final name on this set of speakers is Max Ward, the founder and chief executive officer of OpenPort. Prior to founding the company in 2015 he was Agility Logistics’ vice president for business development in the Asia Pacific region, and also worked for supply chain and technology providers like DHL, Panalpina and APL Logistics. He will be speaking at the first session of the conference, Connect: The Omnipresent Supply Chain, scheduled at midday of 2 October.

They join previously confirmed keynote speaker Dennis Uy, chief executive officer of Chelsea Logistics. More speakers are expected to be announced soon.
