SCMAP’s next General Membership Meeting will dive into last mile logistics, particularly the challenges it poses, and the opportunities it presents, for supply chain stakeholders.
The GMM will be held on 19 April, from 1pm to 5pm, at the Magellan Room of the Discovery Suites Manila, ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
The event will gather stakeholders in last mile logistics, from merchants to marketplaces, from logistics providers to technology enablers. In our town hall format we will discuss pain points across the chain, solutions and strategies to cope, with the hope that all delegates leave with a better understanding of the full picture of the last mile, and how it is impacting not just how we do supply chain, but our role in serving the end customer.
Among those confirmed to share their insights is Alex Doronila of Lazada Express and Ronaldo Bunyi of Robinson’s Supermarkets, with more to be announced in the coming days.
The event will also feature updates on SCMAP events and activities, and the induction of its new members.
This GMM is an output of the last mile collaboration group, one of seven announced by SCMAP president Nestor Felicio during Supply Chain Outlook last January, as part of the organization’s thrust to better address issues faced by the supply chain industry. In preparation for this, the group – led by SCMAP director Dina Pilapil, of LF Logistics – convened a focus group discussion last 5 April, with participants from identified last mile stakeholders among the SCMAP membership.
Attendance to the GMM is free for one representative of an SCMAP member company; PHP 900 for additional member representatives; PHP 1,000 for non-members; and PHP 1,100 for walk-in participants. Pre-registration is required: click here to sign up.
